LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla.—Following The Walt Disney World Co.’s recent announcement of Josh D’Amaro as its new CEO, the company has named Thomas Mazloum as the new chairman of Disney Experiences. Mazloum will succeed D’Amaro as CEO of Disney Experiences.
In his new role, Mazloum will oversee Disney’s theme parks, cruise ships, resort hotels, expeditions and adventures, consumer products, and Walt Disney Imagineering.
Mazloum brings decades of experience in hospitality and Disney operations. Before joining Disney, he worked in European luxury hotels across food and beverage, guest services, and hotel operations. He later served as COO of Crystal Cruise Line, where he focused on service standards and organizational development.
Within Disney, Mazloum has held several senior roles, including at Walt Disney World Resort and as president of Disney Signature Experiences. In that position, he helped develop a long-term growth strategy that included plans to double the Disney Cruise Line fleet. The company recently launched the Disney Adventure in Singapore, its eighth ship and first based in Asia, expanding into new markets. Most recently, Mazloum served as president of Disneyland Resort, where he oversaw two theme parks, three hotels, and the Downtown Disney District during the resort’s 70th anniversary celebration.
“Thomas Mazloum is an exceptional leader with a genuine appreciation for our cast members and a proven track record of delivering growth,” D’Amaro says. “His focus on service excellence, broad international leadership, and strong connection to the creativity that brings our stories to life make him the right leader to guide Disney Experiences into its next chapter.”
As part of the leadership changes, Jill Estorino has been named president of Disneyland Resort, reporting to Mazloum.
Estorino, a 35-year Disney veteran, most recently served as president of Disney Parks International, where she oversaw operations and expansion at international destinations, including Disneyland Paris, Hong Kong Disneyland, Shanghai Disney Resort, and Tokyo Disney Resort. Earlier, she was executive vice president of global marketing and sales for Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products, and played a key role in the opening of Shanghai Disney Resort.
In her new role, Estorino will lead Disneyland Resort with a focus on guest experience, brand stewardship, and company culture as the destination enters its next phase of growth.
“We’re in an unprecedented period of growth for Disney Experiences,” D’Amaro adds. “This team will propel the world-class experiences Disney is known for to more guests across the globe.”
