SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.—Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia has appointed Stephanie Schweppe as spa director of its Joya Spa.
Schweppe will oversee guest experience, spa operations, and special programming at the resort’s 31,000-square-foot, Moroccan-inspired Joya Spa wellness facility.
“It is not every day that you have the opportunity to lead a place that you have personally admired and respected for years,” Schweppe says. “I often think of Joya as a passport to another place. As I look ahead, my focus is on elevating the guest experience through thoughtful attention to detail. Joya already has an exceptional foundation, a beautiful story, and a distinctive sense of place. My role is not to reinvent it, but to illuminate what makes it so special.”
Schweppe brings approximately 30 years of spa leadership and luxury hospitality experience to the position. Her previous roles include work with Bliss Spa at W Hotels, Steiner Leisure Spa Division, and Scottsdale’s Talking Stick Resort.
At Joya Spa, Schweppe will lead operations and programming, which includes massages, facials, body treatments, private suites, a relaxation room, and seasonal wellness offerings. The spa also includes a Joy of Purification Room, featuring a 55-pound quartz crystal.
The spa was conceived by Sylvia Sepielli, who has developed several luxury spa concepts. Schweppe says she plans to build on Joya Spa’s existing identity through expanded experiential programming, guest rituals, and events designed for changing wellness-travel preferences.
