WILLIAMS, Ariz.—Trailborn, a hospitality brand known for its boutique hotels in notable outdoor locations, has opened Trailborn Grand Canyon, a renovated hotel on Route 66 in Williams, Ariz. The property is the brand’s fifth hotel and fourth destination, following locations in Colorado and North Carolina.
The hotel features a redesigned 96-room layout with amenities, including a pool, hot tub, bocce court, kids’ play area, and firepit. The renovation also includes a restored saloon-style event space, restaurant, and bar.
“Trailborn Grand Canyon is an ideal hotel for families and road-trippers situated on the main strip of Williams, Ariz.,” the company said in a statement. The town, known as the “Gateway to the Grand Canyon,” is home to the Grand Canyon Railway, which provides daily service to the South Rim.
Designed in collaboration with Lake Flato, the property combines historic elements with modern features. Camp Hall, the hotel’s central gathering space, has a capacity of 200 and will host live music, “Wild West Bingo,” movie nights, and games like darts and shuffleboard. Guests can also schedule curated outdoor excursions, including guided hikes, stargazing, and helicopter rides.
Miss Kitty’s, a Southwest steakhouse and bar, is set to open later this spring. Trailborn has reimagined the longtime community staple with a contemporary redesign featuring dark wood interiors, handcrafted tiles, and Western-themed décor.
As part of Trailborn’s “Keep Extraordinary” initiative, a portion of proceeds from each room booking will go to the Grand Canyon Conservancy to support trail restoration, wildlife protection, and educational programs.
Trailborn Grand Canyon is located two-and-a-half hours from Phoenix, three hours from Las Vegas, one hour from Sedona, and 30 minutes from Flagstaff (both in Ariz.).
