With a walkable downtown, major convention infrastructure, and the Rocky Mountains just beyond the skyline, Denver blends urban energy with easy access to the outdoors.

“Denver stands out as a meetings destination by offering a rare blend of vibrant urban energy and immediate access to the Rocky Mountains,” says Lee Ann Benavidez, senior vice president/chief sales and services officer for Visit Denver.

Transportation is a key advantage. A newly renovated 16th Street provides a pedestrian-friendly spine through downtown, while Denver International Airport (DEN) offers global connectivity with rail service directly into the city.

The “Mile High City” features more than 13,000 hotel rooms within walking distance of the Colorado Convention Center and more than 58,000 rooms across metro Denver, allowing planners to scale events from citywide conventions to smaller meetings. The Colorado Convention Center anchors the meetings landscape with 2.2 million square feet of space, supported by such hotels as the newly renovated Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center, with 1,100 rooms and more than 60,000 square feet of meeting space, and Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel, with 1,238 rooms and 133,000 square feet of meeting space.

Unique venue options include The National Western Center, which is undergoing a large-scale transformation into a 246-acre campus, with more than 2.2 million square feet of indoor and outdoor space for events, festivals, and conventions.

Set in Denver’s River North Art District, The Source Hotel is a design-forward boutique property connected to a 45,000-square-foot artisan market hall with dining, retail, and event space all under one roof, creating a built-in experience for groups.

Denver also offers easy access to Rocky Mountain National Park, Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre, and seasonal experiences, ranging from skiing to major sporting events. “What truly sets Denver apart is how all of these elements come together: culture, cuisine, sports, and the outdoors, supported by a collaborative community,” Benavidez says. “It is this combination of authenticity, accessibility, and unforgettable experiences that keeps meeting and event planners coming back.”
