LAS VEGAS—Universal Destinations and Experiences has opened Universal Horror Unleashed, its first year-round horror attraction, in the AREA15 District in Las Vegas.

The experience is housed in a repurposed production warehouse and combines familiar horror properties with new storylines. It features four haunted houses, four themed areas, live entertainment, food and beverage, and retail.

“Today marks an exciting step in our expansion into new markets as we officially welcome guests to Universal Horror Unleashed in Las Vegas,” said Page Thompson, president of new ventures at Universal Destinations and Experiences. “Horror Unleashed will provide unique character interactions that will thrill fans of both horror and immersive entertainment.”

Haunted houses

Guests are admitted into each haunted house in staggered groups, with scripted moments designed to extend the story. The lineup includes:

  • Scarecrow: The Reaping, set in a 1930s dust storm-ravaged farm where scarecrows turn on humans.
  • The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, which recreates scenes from the 1974 film, including encounters with Leatherface and his family.
  • Universal Monsters, which brings together Dracula, The Mummy, Frankenstein, and other classic characters.
  • The Exorcist: Believer, based on the 2023 Blumhouse film, depicting the possession of two girls and an ensuing exorcism.

  • Prop Graveyard, filled with mannequins, dolls, and objects that appear to move.
  • Dead Storage, featuring relics from early horror films alongside vampires and werewolves.
  • Jack’s Alley, where Universal’s Jack the Clown presides over carnival-style shows.
