
LAS VEGAS—The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) has appointed Vanessa Claspill as its new chief sales officer. In this role, she will lead sales strategy and oversee efforts to grow meetings, conventions, and trade shows for the Las Vegas destination and the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Claspill brings nearly 20 years of hotel sales and commercial leadership experience to the LVCVA. She most recently served as chief commercial officer at Crescent Hotels and Resorts, leading sales, marketing, digital, and revenue strategy. Hotel Management Magazine named her one of 2025’s Influential Women in Hospitality.

Claspill’s background includes property-level, regional, and corporate sales roles across a range of hospitality brands and markets. She previously held senior leadership roles at Davidson Hospitality Group and the Sydell Group.

Claspill has a bachelor’s degree in political science and communications from Phillips University.
