In keeping pace with evolving travel and hospitality preferences, Hilton has announced a new exclusive partnership with outdoor hospitality company AutoCamp, offering Hilton guests camping experiences at AutoCamp locations near popular national parks in the U.S. Hilton Honors members can earn and redeem points, and enjoy exclusive benefits at AutoCamp properties in three existing locations in California—Yosemite, Joshua Tree, and Russian River—as well as Zion, Utah. An AutoCamp location in Sequoia, Calif., is expected to open this summer.

AutoCamp provides guests with an outdoor hospitality experience featuring such accommodations as Airstream trailers, spacious cabins, luxury tents, and other options. Each location has a social hub called The Clubhouse, offering food and beverage options from The Kitchen, as well as merchandise. Designed with a mid-century modern aesthetic, The Clubhouse is surrounded by communal fire pits, trails, and other outdoor amenities.

This partnership is in line with Hilton’s commitment to expanding the experiences offered to guests and Honors members. According to Hilton’s own consumer trend report, almost half of all travelers in 2024 will prioritize exploration and adventure. Additionally, more than half of Gen-Z (individuals born approximately between 1997 and 2012) and Millennials (born between 1981 and 1996) are allocating more of their budget for these types of experiences, surpassing other age groups. “This is the first time a major hospitality brand and outdoor lodging company have come together in this way to create even more choices for travelers while redefining the outdoor hospitality experience,” says Chris Silcock, president, Global Brands and Commercial Services, Hilton.

AutoCamp stays will be available for booking on Hilton’s direct channels. Beyond the southwest, the Hilton and AutoCamp partnership also will offer stays at locations in Cape Cod, Mass., and Catskills, N.Y. A location in Asheville, N.C., will open this summer, followed by Hill Country, Tex., in 2025.
