Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch will rebrand to Grand Hyatt Scottsdale Resort in early October 2024, following a $115 million renovation. This will mark the first Grand Hyatt hotel in Arizona.

The renovation introduces six new dining experiences in collaboration with celebrity chef Richard Blais, expanded pool and cabana offerings, and a refreshed Spa Avania. The resort will feature 496 renovated accommodations, including 18 luxury casitas and the two-story Gainey House.

The resort’s design, by WATG and Hale Collective, integrates with the Sonoran Desert surroundings. Guests will enjoy new food and beverage options, such as La Zozzona, Tiki Taka, Mesa Centrale, and Grand Vista Lounge, along with existing poolside concepts Sandbar and H2Oasis.

The expanded 10-acre pool complex will include 10 swimming pools, a three-story waterslide, and a beachside putting green. The upgraded Spa Avania will offer wellness experiences aligned with natural daily rhythms.

Outdoor activities at the resort will include jogging paths, bicycle trails, golf at the adjacent Gainey Ranch Golf Club, and tennis and pickleball courts.

The resort will also debut a renovated 14,000-square-foot Vaquero Ballroom and a new 24,000-square-foot Arizona Ballroom by January 2025, expanding its meeting and event space to 90,000 square feet.
