PHOENIX—Visit Phoenix has promoted two longtime leaders to its executive team, naming Eric Kerr chief strategy and insights officer and Dana Swan chief people and culture officer as the destination marketing organization continues its growth.

Kerr began his career at Visit Phoenix as an intern nearly two decades ago. Throughout his tenure, he has guided data-driven decision-making across marketing, convention sales, industry advocacy, and destination development. He also played a key role in advancing Arizona’s Tourism Improvement Area legislation, HB 2950, which is expected to strengthen Greater Phoenix’s competitiveness in attracting meetings, conventions, and visitors. In his new position, Kerr will lead the organization’s strategic planning and insights initiatives.
“I’m honored to step into this role at such an exciting moment for Greater Phoenix and Visit Phoenix,” Kerr says. “As our destination continues to evolve, the opportunity is to pair thoughtful strategy with meaningful insights that help us make smarter decisions, strengthen our partnerships, and ensure tourism continues to deliver lasting impacts for Greater Phoenix. I’m excited to work alongside our incredible team at Visit Phoenix and industry partners to help shape what comes next.”

Swan has been with Visit Phoenix for more than five years. She has led the organization’s human resources strategy, emphasizing employee engagement, leadership development, workforce growth, and organizational culture. Under her leadership, Visit Phoenix has earned Top Workplaces recognition while expanding partnerships with educational institutions and community organizations to help develop the region’s future hospitality and tourism workforce.
In their new roles, Kerr will continue to oversee the use of analytics and research to support organizational planning and destination development, while Swan will lead initiatives focused on talent development, employee experience, and organizational performance.

“We’re honored to have two such accomplished leaders on our team,” says Ron Price, president and CEO of Visit Phoenix. “Over the last year, the destination and organization have hit new milestones, catapulting us to new heights. As we continue to grow, expanding our C-suite team helps position us to build on that momentum and prepare for the future.”
The executive promotions come as Visit Phoenix continues to strengthen its leadership team and invest in long-term strategies supporting the region’s convention, tourism, and visitor economy.
