Westin Denver International Airport unveils redesigned meeting spaces

DENVER—The Westin Denver International Airport has completed the first phase of a multiyear renovation, debuting a redesign of its 37,000 square feet of meeting and event space to improve functionality and the attendee experience.

The hotel is directly connected to Denver International Airport’s Jeppesen Terminal. Its redesigned spaces draw inspiration from the Westin Hotels & Resorts brand, incorporating water-themed design elements and regional influences tied to the American West. Features include updated furnishings, integrated greenery, LED lighting, and floor-to-ceiling windows that provide natural light and views of the Colorado Front Range.

“Our goal with this transformation was to create meeting environments that feel intuitive, flexible, and deeply connected to place,” says Kurtis Hanson, general manager. “As we mark 10 years, this investment reflects both the strength of the Denver market and our commitment to providing planners and attendees with spaces that support productivity, well-being, and meaningful connection.”
All 21 event rooms and 15 breakout spaces have been reconfigured with updated layouts and finishes, including changes to select boardrooms designed to improve flow between sessions. The hotel’s largest venue can host up to 850 attendees, supported by a 10,000-square-foot pre-function area used for networking, receptions, and registration.

Sustainability initiatives were also incorporated into the redesign. New carpeting features an 80% wool blend designed to reduce environmental impact, while added greenery and natural light aim to enhance indoor environmental quality. The property, which is LEED Platinum-certified and has a Four Green Key rating, also offers a carbon offset program for meeting planners that includes digital signage, reduced single-use plastics, and event impact reporting.

This meeting space overhaul is part of a broader $25 million renovation project expected to be completed in spring 2027, with additional upgrades planned for guest rooms, dining venues, fitness facilities, and public areas.
