PARK CITY, Utah—Hilton has announced the signing of an agreement for a new Canopy by Hilton hotel at Deer Valley East Village. The 180-room hotel, developed in partnership with Extell Development Co., is scheduled to open in summer 2026.
Located near the Jordanelle Express Gondola, the hotel will provide ski-in access during the winter season and feature a range of amenities, including a pool, hot tub, sauna, fitness center, and golf simulator. The property will also offer meeting facilities, a ski locker room, and two levels of underground parking with 176 spaces.
“Deer Valley East Village has been a long-anticipated project that is sure to attract brands, retailers, visitors, and residents from around the world, and the addition of Canopy to the Village further enhances our vision of bringing world-renowned brands and experiences to the resort,” says Gary Barnett, founder and chairman of Extell Development Co.
The hotel’s design will incorporate Park City’s mining history and its development as a ski destination. The Richardson Design Partnership will lead the architecture, with interior design by DLR Group.
“With more than 40 properties welcoming guests around the globe and another 40 in various stages of development, Canopy boasts impressive growth, and the signing of Canopy at Deer Valley builds upon that momentum,” says Matt Wehling, senior vice president of development for Hilton.
The property will include a restaurant, an après-ski lounge, a rooftop bar, and a coffee shop. The food and beverage offerings will comprise more than 9,600 square feet.
Deer Valley East Village is part of a larger expansion of Deer Valley Resort, set to be completed in the 2025-2026 ski season. The expansion will add 10 chairlifts and 100 new ski runs, increasing the skiable terrain to 5,726 acres. The latest development will include hotels, residential units, retail space, and recreational facilities.
Canopy by Hilton at Deer Valley will be part of the Hilton Honors loyalty program, offering such benefits as flexible payment options and digital check-in.
The hotel will be located 40 minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport.
