LOS ANGELES— In honor of Global Meetings Industry Day on April 3, the Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board (Los Angeles Tourism) has announced the extension of its popular “We Love LA” group offers through June 2026. The initiative provides meeting and event planners with hotel incentives to make booking events in Los Angeles more rewarding.

Adam Burke, president & CEO of Los Angeles Tourism, emphasizes the significant economic impact of meetings and events on the city. “Conventions, corporate meetings, and large-scale events drive billions of dollars into our community annually,” he says. “With our year-round weather and world-class venues, planners can create unforgettable events that are uniquely LA.”

Incentives for planners

Los Angeles Tourism’s “We Love LA” group promotion provides meeting planners with various financial incentives. For meetings with 10 to 99 rooms on peak, planners who submit a qualified new meeting or event lead are eligible to receive a $50 gift card. For events with 100 rooms or more on peak, the incentive increases to a $100 gift card. Once the group is booked, planners can earn $10 per actualized room night, up to $5,000 back to the organization, excluding complimentary room nights.

In addition to these financial incentives, Los Angeles Tourism offers planners access to exclusive hotel deals. More than 50 hotels across the city—Downtown LA, Beach Cities, the Westside, The Valley, and Greater Hollywood—are participating in the program. The hotel deals vary by property but may include room upgrades, complimentary amenities, reduced meeting room rental fees, and more.

GMID and industry collaboration

Los Angeles Tourism also supports the U.S. Travel Association’s Global Meetings Industry Day (GMID), an annual event celebrating the economic contributions of professional meetings and conventions.

This year, Los Angeles Tourism is sponsoring Meeting Professionals International’s (MPI) GMID broadcast again, a 12-hour virtual event discussing best practices for hosting meetings responsibly. Los Angeles is also preparing to host the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) 2025 Annual Meeting & Expo.

The city is also set to host high-profile events, such as the 2026 NBA All-Star Game, the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and the 2028 Olympic Games.
