Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas has completed a $100 million renovation of its 2.1 million-square-foot convention center. The upgrade, aimed at meeting contemporary event needs, includes advanced technology infrastructure and a new design.
Key technological improvements feature lightning-fast Cat6A ethernet cabling, dynamic digital signage and walls, and RFID locks on meeting room doors. The modern design, crafted by MGM Resorts International Design Group and Dezmotif Studios, reflects Mandalay Bay’s tropical-inspired brand with bright colors and seating areas. Further, it showcases artwork by Thandiwe Muriu and Sarah Anne Johnson, among others, through its corporate Fine Art program. The design also showcases white-washed walls and ceilings with vibrant floral patterns in cerulean and coral hues, accented by walnut walls. Mandalay Bay has revamped its 1 million square feet of exhibit space, adding fresh paint, covered pillars, and relocated strobe lights, alongside redesigning all pre-function areas, meeting rooms, and ballrooms.
This renovation complements Mandalay Bay’s efforts to enhance its integrated resort experience in the 120-acre property. Other recent developments include a full renovation of all 424 rooms and suites at Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas, located in Mandalay Bay, as well as new restaurant openings, including Orla by Michael Mina and Caramá by Wolfgang Puck. Additionally, Swingers, a mini golf and cocktail concept, and Bob Marley Hope Road, an immersive tribute to the musician, are both set to open in late 2024. The resort revamp aims at solidifying its position as a premier destination for events and trade shows in Las Vegas.
