LAS VEGAS—Museum of Ice Cream has opened its largest location to date at AREA15’s Zone 2 in Las Vegas, offering visitors 14 immersive attractions, interactive exhibits, and an all-you-can-eat ice cream buffet.
The new 30,000-square-foot flagship, which opened July 3, features experiences inspired by the energy and glamour of Las Vegas. Designed as an immersive attraction, the venue welcomes guests into a themed luxury ice cream “hotel” before leading them through a series of installations celebrating the playful side of Las Vegas.
Among the featured attractions is the Golden Scoop Buffet, billed as the world’s largest all-you-can-eat ice cream buffet, offering more than 20 flavors and a variety of toppings included with admission. Other highlights include the Little Pink Chapel, a wedding chapel designed to resemble a tiered wedding cake.
Created in partnership with BaubleBar, the space features a friendship bracelet-making experience and can be reserved for weddings and private events.
The attraction also includes what Museum of Ice Cream describes as the world’s largest Sprinkle Pool, complete with two-story slides, as well as Big Top Taste, an ice cream-themed magic show. Additional experiences include Ribbon’s Costume Shop, the Cone-sino entertainment area with themed beverages, five slides throughout the attraction, and Lucky Cherry Ink Tattoo Parlor, where guests can receive temporary ice cream-inspired tattoos.
Visitors also can explore three themed hotel suites, or “sweets,” each offering a different interactive experience. The S’more’s Sweet features a giant marshmallow bed; the Strawberry Sweet is designed for conversation and social gatherings; and the Sprinkled Sweet serves as a private event space.
The venue concludes with a vintage-inspired supper club that pays tribute to classic Las Vegas entertainment.
“Half a decade in the making. That’s what Museum of Ice Cream Las Vegas represents,” says Manish Vora, co-founder and CEO of Museum of Ice Cream. “We didn’t come to Las Vegas to do what we’ve done before. We came to build the wildest, most immersive, most interactive experience we have ever created: the world’s largest ice cream buffet—a two-story Sprinkle Pool, five slides, including the longest double-helix slide in Vegas, a tattoo parlor, and a wedding chapel. This is not Museum of Ice Cream 2.0. This is Museum of Ice Cream, only in Las Vegas.”
In other AREA15 news, Eye Dropper, a new, 200-foot-tall drop tower attraction, has opened as part of the entertainment district’s expanding Zone 2 development.
The new attraction transforms the traditional drop tower ride into a themed experience inspired by psychedelic art and altered states of perception. Eye Dropper features both Space Shot and Turbo Drop sequences, allowing riders to launch upward, free-fall, or experience both in a single ride.
Eye Dropper is the latest addition to AREA15’s Zone 2 expansion, which also includes Universal Horror Unleashed and the flagship location of apparel retailer Dolls Kill.
The ride reaches speeds of up to 36 mph and generates forces of up to 4 Gs before transitioning into moments of weightlessness. Riders travel through an immersive queue featuring synchronized lighting, sound effects, and themed design elements before boarding the attraction.
A custom LED marquee atop the tower displays a digital eye that changes throughout each ride cycle and is visible from locations across Las Vegas.
“We’re in the midst of an extraordinary time of expansion and evolution at AREA15,” says Winston Fisher, CEO of AREA15. “Eye Dropper is only the latest iconic attraction on our roster, but there’s even more on the horizon that we can’t wait to share with everyone. It’s no exaggeration to say there’s always something new and extraordinary to discover at AREA15.”
Located west of the Las Vegas Strip, AREA15 continues to expand its mix of immersive attractions, entertainment venues, restaurants, retail, and event spaces, further positioning the destination as a hub for experiential tourism and group events.
