LAS VEGAS—Tickets are now on sale for The Evel Knievel Experience, an interactive museum dedicated to the legendary American daredevil, ahead of its June 27 opening in downtown Las Vegas’ Arts District.

The Las Vegas attraction is a reimagined expansion of the original Evel Knievel Museum, which opened in Topeka, Kan., in 2017. It will feature immersive exhibits, rare artifacts, and interactive experiences highlighting the life and career of Evel Knievel.

The museum’s collection includes Knievel’s signature red, white, and blue jumpsuits, the motorcycles used during his performances, the Snake River Canyon Skycycle X-2, and the helmet worn during his famed 1967 crash at Caesars Palace, which left him in a coma for 29 days.

Visitors will also be able to tour the fully restored “Big Red” Mack truck and trailer that traveled with Knievel during his touring years. The restoration project involved more than 90 craftsmen.

Before arriving permanently in Las Vegas, “Big Red” will travel from Kansas City, Mo., to Las Vegas as part of “Big Red’s Run,” a cross-country caravan celebrating Knievel’s legacy. The journey will conclude with a drive down the Las Vegas Strip before the museum’s opening.

The attraction will include several interactive features, including a 4D virtual reality motorcycle jump simulation, a digital Jump Planner allowing guests to design their own stunts, and “Bad to the Bones,” an exhibit focused on Knievel’s crashes and injuries.

“Evel Knievel’s story doesn’t belong to just one generation—it still resonates in a powerful way today,” says Mike Patterson, co-founder and CEO of The Evel Knievel Experience. “We designed this attraction as a place where people can feel that for themselves, whether they grew up watching him or are discovering his story for the first time.”

Kelly Knievel, Evel Knievel’s eldest son and a Las Vegas resident, says the attraction will celebrate his father’s lasting influence on American culture. “We’re thrilled to be able to share what made Evel Knievel so special and such a significant contributor to American culture. The Evel Knievel Experience is another great attraction for visitors to our city.”

Lathan McKay, co-founder of The Evel Knievel Experience, says the museum highlights the stunt performer’s perseverance and determination. “Evel Knievel tapped into the fountain of youth through sheer determination, resilience, and an unshakable belief in pushing life to its limits,” McKay says. “After dozens of crashes, countless broken bones and near-death experiences, he continued pursuing some of the world’s most daring stunts with the energy and fearlessness of someone decades younger. I’m thrilled new audiences will soon discover his extraordinary sense of perseverance and dedication to his craft at the Las Vegas experience.”

In addition to exhibits, the venue will include a retail store selling licensed merchandise, collectibles, and memorabilia, as well as an onsite café offering beverages and snacks.
The museum is located at 1001 S. First St. in the Las Vegas Arts District. General admission discounts will be available for children ages 6 to 12, groups, local residents, and military members. Children 5 and younger will receive free admission. The attraction will operate daily beginning at 10 a.m., with last entry at 8 p.m. Most visits are expected to last between 60 and 90 minutes.
