NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.—Lido House, Autograph Collection has appointed Rory Emslie as general manager. He will oversee hotel operations and guide the property through its ongoing expansion, which includes the addition of five new luxury cottages, an expanded banquet space, and the launch of the Glass House on Newport Lawn, a light-filled 540 square-foot glasshouse ideal for small gatherings.
Emslie joined Lido House in 2021 and has served as director of rooms, resident manager, and, most recently, hotel manager. During that time, the property reported record guest service scores, its highest associate engagement ratings, and revenue growth in F&B outlets.
Before Lido House, Emslie worked for Marriott International for nearly a decade across its luxury and lifestyle brands. He began his career at The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel (Calif.), where he advanced through housekeeping, front office, and guest relations to become front of house manager. He received the property’s Leader of the Year Award in 2017 and the Marriott Global Discipline Award in 2018. Emslie was also part of the opening team at The Ritz-Carlton, Bacara Santa Barbara (Calif.), and contributed to the launch of Evrima, the first Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection vessel, in Europe in 2022.
In his new role, Emslie will focus on hotel operations, support Lido House’s expansion, and maintain its connection to the Newport Beach community.
