Hotel Indigo Los Angeles Downtown announces Charles Cho as GM

LOS ANGELES—Hotel Indigo Los Angeles Downtown, IHG’s flagship Indigo property, has appointed Charles Cho as its new general manager.

Cho brings nearly 30 years of hospitality experience and will oversee day-to-day operations at the 350-room property. He will focus on positioning the hotel as a destination for both local guests and visitors to downtown LA.

Before joining Hotel Indigo, Cho served as general manager at Omni San Diego Hotel, where he led a complete renovation and repositioning of the property. His previous roles included leadership positions at California’s Newport Beach Marriott Bayview, The Westin San Diego Gaslamp Quarter, and Sheraton Grand Sacramento. He helped open Asia’s first W Hotel in Seoul early in his career.

He has an MBA from Tulane University and a B.S. in Hotel, Restaurant, and Food Service Management from New York University. Originally from New York, he began his career as a front-desk agent.
