Goldener Hirsch, Auberge Resorts Collection, has appointed James Miller as general manager (GM) of its mid-mountain hotel and residences in Deer Valley, Utah. Miller, a hospitality industry professional with more than three decades of experience, will manage the resort’s operations, services, and guest experiences.

Miller’s career began in Asia with Six Senses Resorts & Spas, followed by management roles in various InterContinental hotels internationally. Most recently, he was GM at Kimpton Armory Hotel in Bozeman, Mont., part of InterContinental Hotels Group, which he led to recognition on Travel + Leisure’s Top 500 Hotels in the World.

Inspired by its Salzburg namesake, Goldener Hirsch combines Bavarian inn aesthetics with modern residences. Situated in the Wasatch Mountain range, it offers a range of accommodations, from suites to three-bedroom residences, equipped with such amenities as furnished balconies and wood-burning fireplaces. Guests can also access dining options, ski storage, and a rooftop infinity pool and hot tub. The resort, known for its unique blend of luxury and alpine culture, remains a destination for visitors in Deer Valley.
