Surprise Stadium is the spring-training home of MLB’s Texas Rangers and Kansas City Royals. The stadium includes 10,714 fixed seats and private suites and is part of a 200-acre site within walking distance of hotels, Surprise Tennis & Racquet Complex, and Surprise City Center.
Surprise is also home to Ottawa University Arizona and eight hotels, including two with meeting space. The 100-room Hampton Inn & Suites Phoenix-Surprise has 1,216 square feet of event space. Residence Inn Phoenix NW/Surprise has space to host 24 people.
Golf courses abound in Surprise, and in nearby Wadell, the 30,000-acre White Tank Mountain Regional Park has approximately 30 miles of shared-use trails, including the barrier-free Waterfall Trail, a nature center, and regularly scheduled programs and guided hikes.
