Beverly Wilshire first to use hologram tech in select suites

Beverly Wilshire, a Four Seasons Hotel, is spearheading a new era of travel by integrating hologram technology into its penthouse and presidential suites. This initiative marks the first time such technology has been incorporated within the hospitality industry, with the aim to enhance customer service.

The hotel has partnered with Los Angeles-based Proto to introduce “The M,” a portable tabletop holographic communications device. This tool enables the hotel’s guest-experience team to live beam directly into guest rooms and provide seamless interaction.

In the penthouse, the portal device connects from the media room. In the presidential suite, it connects from the dining area and living room. Guests can schedule a convenient time for a live holographic session in their room. During this session, both the hotel staff and guests will have real-time visual and verbal communication, enabling them to discuss the day’s plans, explore suite amenities, and more.

Proto Hologram communication—already embraced by Fortune 500 companies, leading universities, and Hollywood studios—has demonstrated significant improvements in conversation quality compared to traditional flat-screen video solutions.

“We are elated to provide our guests with yet another way to communicate with us,” says Serge Sturbois, director of guest experience at Beverly Wilshire. “Based on the guest preference, we can communicate in person, through Four Seasons chat, text, a call and now by beaming via hologram into their room.”

Guests can schedule a convenient time for a live holographic session in their room.
