Las Vegas hosts inaugural MICHELIN Guide Southwest ceremony

LAS VEGAS—Las Vegas restaurants earned 24 distinctions in the inaugural 2026 MICHELIN Guide Southwest selection, including four MICHELIN Stars, as the city hosted the guide’s first ceremony recognizing restaurants across Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, and Utah.

Restaurant de Joël Robuchon at MGM Grand received two MICHELIN Stars, while four restaurants earned one star: Guy Savoy Las Vegas, é by José Andrés, and L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon Las Vegas in Las Vegas, and Monte in South Salt Lake, Utah.

The selection includes 64 restaurants across 24 cuisine types, with 18 Bib Gourmand recipients and 41 Recommended restaurants. The Bib Gourmand distinction recognizes restaurants offering good food at a moderate price.

“As tonight marked our momentous return to Las Vegas, and more broadly the Southwest region, we were able to celebrate the dedication and passion of the outstanding restaurant communities throughout these four states,” says Gwendal Poullennec, international director of the MICHELIN Guide. “From world-renowned dining destinations to hidden culinary gems, the Southwest offers an impressive breadth of exceptional restaurants, which this inaugural selection proves. Our anonymous inspectors were continually impressed by the authenticity, creativity, and sense of place expressed throughout their journeys. Congratulations to all those receiving recognition!”

Restaurant de Joël Robuchon, located at MGM Grand, was recognized for its contemporary French cuisine and an elaborate dining experience featuring such dishes as crustacean gelée with crabmeat and caviar, crisped daikon with dashi, and roasted venison with red wine-poached pear.

Guy Savoy Las Vegas, located at Caesars Palace, received one star for its contemporary French cuisine, while é by José Andrés at The Cosmopolitan was recognized for its Spanish contemporary cuisine and multicourse tasting experience. L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon Las Vegas, also at MGM Grand, earned a star for its French cuisine.

In Utah, Monte in South Salt Lake earned one MICHELIN Star for its contemporary American cuisine. Located within Beehive Distillery, the restaurant offers a refined tasting menu influenced by French, Italian, and South American traditions and local producers.

Las Vegas restaurants also received three Bib Gourmand distinctions: China Poblano, Esther’s Kitchen, and YEN Viet Kitchen. The city had 17 restaurants included in the Recommended category, spanning a range of cuisines and neighborhoods.

The MICHELIN Guide also presented four special awards recognizing hospitality professionals across the Southwest. Joseph Simonson of Campo at Los Poblanos received the MICHELIN Exceptional Cocktails Award; John Germain of Reserve received the MICHELIN Sommelier Award; Sean Christopher of Restaurant de Joël Robuchon received the MICHELIN Outstanding Service Award; and René Andrade of Bacanora and Huarachis Taqueria received the MICHELIN Young Chef Culinary Professional Award.

The ceremony at Fontainebleau Las Vegas brought together chefs, restaurateurs, and hospitality leaders from the four-state Southwest region.

The MICHELIN Guide’s Southwest hotel selection also highlights properties recognized for their style, service, and personality. Among them are Edgewood Tahoe in Stateline, Nev., with one MICHELIN Key; Amangiri in southern Utah, with three MICHELIN Keys; Los Poblanos Historic Inn & Organic Farm in Albuquerque, N.M., with two MICHELIN Keys; and Under Canvas Grand Canyon in Williams, Ariz.

The 2026 MICHELIN Guide Southwest selection marks the guide’s return to Las Vegas and its broader expansion across the Southwest.
