VegasMeansBusiness.com; @Vegas—Las Vegas stands out as a premier destination for meetings and events, offering world-class venues, unmatched entertainment, and exceptional dining experiences—all set against its iconic Strip. With state-of-the-art facilities, luxury accommodations, and endless opportunities for networking and teambuilding, Las Vegas delivers unforgettable events in a city built to impress. “Thanks to our resorts and partners across the destination, Las Vegas continues to offer something new and exciting for planners, ensuring attendees keep coming back year after year,” notes Rebecca DeLuca, vice president of destination sales for Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority (LVCVA). “From world-class entertainment, celebrity culinary offerings, luxury spas, and more, Las Vegas simply provides a range of offerings that can’t be found anywhere else.”
With more than 151,000 hotel rooms and 15 million square feet of meeting and convention space, Las Vegas offers an unparalleled selection of options, from luxurious resorts and boutique hotels to budget-friendly options. Its vast inventory ensures groups of any size can find the perfect fit for meetings, conferences, and events. “Planners and attendees can always expect to experience something new when they visit Las Vegas,” DeLuca adds. “Fontainebleau Las Vegas, which opened in December 2023 and offers 550,000 square feet of meeting and convention space, is the latest new property on the Las Vegas Strip. We also look ahead at what is to come, including the iconic Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and, soon, a Major League Baseball stadium where the Tropicana once stood. These new and reinvented properties only add to the expansive options meeting planners have in Las Vegas.”
In addition, new event space in Las Vegas includes approximately 430,000 square feet of space at Wynn Las Vegas, 550,000 square feet at Caesars FORUM, 315,000 square feet at Expo at World Market Center, 750,000 square feet at Las Vegas Convention Center, 130,000 square feet at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, and 350,000 square feet at Resorts World.
Las Vegas is one of the most accessible destinations in the country, thanks to Harry Reid International Airport (LAS), which set a new annual passenger record for the second-consecutive year—serving 57.6 million travelers and besting the previous record of 52.6 million in 2022, DeLuca says.
The city continues to invest in significant infrastructure updates, with more than $15 billion in new investment expected over the next several years, DeLuca adds. Recent enhancements include the groundbreaking Sphere, featuring 580,000 square feet of programmable lighting and 1.2 million LED pucks, creating a visually stunning landmark. Las Vegas Convention Center is undergoing a $600 million renovation to modernize its legacy campus, complementing its state-of-the-art West Hall, which debuted in 2021. Updates to its South Hall offer an enhanced sense of arrival with a new outdoor plaza, expanded lobby, and state-of-the-art boardroom, while renovations to its North Hall are ongoing. Additionally, transportation upgrades like the Vegas Loop and Monorail continue to improve accessibility, making it easier than ever to navigate the city.
