SANTA BARBARA, Calif.—Hotel Santa Barbara marked the start of its centennial year with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, celebrating recent renovations to the historic downtown property.
The event, hosted by the South Coast Santa Barbara Chamber of Commerce, highlighted updates to the hotel’s lobby and guest rooms, as well as the debut of 1926, a new onsite bar featuring craft cocktails, specialty coffee drinks, and locally inspired food. Guests attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony were welcomed with a champagne toast and hors d’oeuvres, toured the renovated spaces, and enjoyed live music. The celebration also included a candle-pouring experience hosted by Santa Barbara-based Candle Bar 111.
The hotel’s first-floor conference-style meeting space has received updated amenities and new, stylish furnishings tailored to fit the needs of modern business travelers seeking the perfect destination for their intimate event or meeting.
“Hotel Santa Barbara has long been a place where locals and visitors alike can connect with the spirit of the city,” says Chris Cline, the hotel’s general manager. “As we celebrate 100 years of hospitality, we’re proud to honor our history while introducing thoughtful updates that enhance the guest experience. We look forward to welcoming guests who want to experience Santa Barbara’s vibrant culture firsthand.”
Located on State Street in the heart of downtown, the 75-room boutique hotel has been a longtime destination for visitors seeking accommodation within walking distance of Santa Barbara’s dining, shopping, and Stearns Wharf.
