Aurora offers planners a destination of global culture and Colorado authenticity, just minutes from Denver International Airport (DEN).
“Aurora stands out as one of the most diverse and dynamic destinations in the Rocky Mountains region,” says Amber Hejduk, director of sales for Visit Aurora.
The city offers more than 11,500 hotel guest rooms across more than 60 properties, along with more than 1 million square feet of flexible meeting space. The Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center offers 1,500 guest rooms and 500,000 square feet of meeting space, including expanded pre-function space, updated dining concepts, and improvements to the outdoor venue. Additional venues, such as Hyatt Regency Aurora-Denver Conference Center and DoubleTree by Hilton Denver – Aurora, provide options for mid-sized and specialized groups.
In other developments, the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus has acquired the Benson Hotel and Faculty Club, while Woolley’s Classic Suites is transitioning to the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio.
Group activities range from outdoor recreation to interactive experiences. Options include Cherry Creek State Park and Aurora Reservoir for water-based activities, Plains Conservation Center for western programming, and Wings Over The Rockies Air & Space Museum for hands-on exploration.
“Aurora is a destination that reflects the future of meetings: diverse, authentic, accessible, and experience-driven,” Hejduk says. “When you bring your meeting to Aurora, you’re not just booking a venue—you’re unlocking a destination full of stories, culture, and connection.”
