NORTHERN COLORADO
Estes Park combines accessible meeting space with a strong outdoor component set against the Rocky Mountains. “Flexible meeting spaces with both indoor and outdoor options, combined with close proximity to Rocky Mountain National Park, make Estes Park stand out,” says Chris Bierdeman, sales and events manager for Visit Estes Park.
Estes Park features more than 4,000 guest rooms across more than 100 hotels, resorts, lodges, and cabins, giving planners flexibility across a range of group sizes. Leading properties include The Stanley Hotel, which offers 300 guest rooms and 41,000 square feet of meeting space, and YMCA of the Rockies, with 840 guest rooms and more than 80,000 square feet of meeting space across 61 venues. The 147-room Holiday Inn Estes Park by IHG offers more than 16,000 square feet of meeting space, while Estes Park Events Complex offers 33,000 square feet of flexible event space. Additional options, such as Estes Park Resort, with lodge rooms and cabin accommodations, further expand the destination’s group offerings.
New venues continue to enter the market, including Aspen Falls, a 30-acre private estate now available for corporate retreats. The property offers a more secluded setting with panoramic mountain views, suited for executive meetings and group buyouts.
Estes Park recently completed the Dark Sky Certification Mentor Program, supporting stargazing and astronomy-based experiences. Also, the Estes Arts District’s designation as a Colorado Creative District reflects a growing arts community, with new developments, such as Cleave Street, creating additional space for events and gatherings.
Attendees often extend their stay to take advantage of nearby attractions, including Rocky Mountain National Park, Estes Park Aerial Tramway, and a range of outdoor recreation on Lake Estes. “With endless adventure and Rocky Mountain National Park just minutes away, Estes Park makes it easy to experience the Rockies,” Bierdeman says. “With the Riverwalk winding through downtown and plenty of small-town charm, it’s easy to see why Estes Park continues to stand out as a top destination, with a laid-back, welcoming feel that makes it a true Rocky Mountain getaway.”
