In partnership with Extell Development Company, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has unveiled plans for the Four Seasons Resort and Private Residences Deer Valley, located within Deer Valley’s East Village, Utah. The development marks North America’s first luxury alpine village in more than 40 years.
The resort, designed by ODA Architecture, will feature 134 guest rooms and suites alongside 123 private residences ranging from 1,200 to 7,000 square feet. The development will provide ski-in/ski-out access and will include wellness facilities, dining options, and event spaces.
Bart Carnahan, president of Global Business Development at Four Seasons, emphasized the project’s significance. “We are thrilled to bring Four Seasons to Deer Valley at an exciting time for the acclaimed destination,” he said. “By combining our hospitality and residential offerings with this storied mountain setting, we look forward to offering another luxury retreat with our partners at Extell.”
The East Village development is part of a larger expansion of Deer Valley’s ski terrain, increasing its size to 3,700 acres. The expansion will include enhanced slopeside access, a skier services facility, retail spaces, and new dining and après-ski venues.
Gary Barnett, founder and chairman of Extell Development Company, highlighted the ongoing collaboration with Four Seasons. “We are certain this will be the case with Four Seasons, who we have embarked on several successful projects with in the past,” Barnett said.
Located 40 minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC), the resort will offer year-round activities, including hiking and biking trails, pools, an ice rink, and indoor sports courts.
The project is expected to cater to residents and visitors, combining high-end accommodations with recreational and event facilities designed for all seasons. The timeline for its opening has not yet been revealed.
