The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay, located approximately 30 minutes from San Francisco, has appointed Javier Arrebola as its new executive chef. Arrebola will oversee the resort’s culinary operations, working alongside chef de cuisine Francisco Simón, executive pastry chef Joanna Kaskiw, and F&B director Maurice Tax.
Arrebola has more than a decade of international culinary experience, including roles at multiple Ritz-Carlton properties, such as those in Jeddah, Riyadh, Dubai, and Barcelona. He also previously worked at The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay.
Before joining The Ritz-Carlton brand, Arrebola earned a culinary diploma in arts and pastry arts from IES Martí Dot in Barcelona.
“We are thrilled to welcome Chef Arrebola back to Half Moon Bay,” says general manager Mathieu Riviere. “His remarkable culinary journey and dedication to excellence align seamlessly with our commitment to providing unparalleled dining experiences for our guests.”
Arrebola will contribute to the resort’s dining venues in his new position, including the recently renovated Navio and Conservatory restaurants.
“Returning to Half Moon Bay feels like coming home,” Arrebola says.
He joins The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay, after the hotel recently hosted the California Michelin Awards and completed a multimillion-dollar renovation.
