The Broadmoor, a luxury resort in Colorado Springs, Colo., has recently announced the promotion of Ann Alba to the position of vice president and general manager. This decision comes after Alba’s 37-year tenure at The Broadmoor, which began as a banquet server.
In her new role, Alba will work closely with The Broadmoor’s president and CEO, Jack Damioli, to oversee operations at the 106-year-old property. Her responsibilities will include managing The Ranch at Emerald Valley, Cloud Camp, and the Orvis Endorsed Fly-Fishing Camp, key parts of The Broadmoor’s famous wilderness experience portfolio. Additionally, Alba serves as president of the Pikes Peak Lodging Association. In 2011, Alba was the recipient of Colorado Hotel and Lodging Association’s ZENITH Award at the Stars of the Industry Awards for her service and accomplishments in the hospitality industry.
Ann Alba, originally from Michigan, joined The Broadmoor in 1987 and advanced through the ranks. Raised in her family’s hospitality business, she has deep roots in the industry. She has played a role in upholding The Broadmoor’s reputation as the longest consecutive recipient of the Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five-Diamond awards hotel across the world.
