
Sky Rock Sedona (Ariz.), a Tribute Portfolio Hotel by Marriott, has welcomed two seasoned hospitality professionals to its team: Maureen Huffman as general manager and Keele Smith as director of sales and marketing. Their appointments aim to expand the property’s reach in Sedona.
Huffman and Smith have more than 40 years’ collective experience in hospitality. Huffman brings 26 years of leadership experience from various outdoor adventure and leadership companies. Her background includes guiding backpacking and whitewater rafting trips in the United States and Canada. She is known for fostering connections, nurturing teamwork, and championing servant leadership. Huffman’s dedication to crafting a home-like environment for guests stems from her pride in her craft and collaboration with her team. Prior to her role at Sky Rock Sedona, Huffman served as general manager at Embassy Suites by Hilton Seattle Tacoma International Airport and chaired Seattle Southside Regional Tourism Authority.
Smith is recognized for her award-winning sales leadership and revenue-growth initiatives. With more than 15 years of experience, she has excelled in sales-management roles at various hospitality establishments. Smith’s journey in the industry began at Wyndham Vacation Resorts, where she honed her skills in sales management and business development. Before joining Sky Rock Sedona, she held positions at Remington Hotels, Turnkey Vacation Rentals, and Embassy Suites Flagstaff.
