ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.—The Sheraton Albuquerque Airport Hotel has completed a multi-million-dollar renovation of all guest rooms, public areas, and meeting spaces, marking the final phase of a multi-year project. The updates are part of Sheraton’s global initiative to modernize its guest experience.
Renovations began with the hotel’s lobby, meeting spaces, restaurant, and Sheraton Club Lounge, and have now extended to all suites and guest rooms. The 15-story, 276-room property is within walking distance of Albuquerque International Sunport (ABQ) and offers views of the Sandia and Manzano mountains.
“The Sheraton Albuquerque Airport is a unique property where modern travelers can rediscover the past, and this renovation has brought to life the beauty of the Southwest throughout the property,” said Tony Sherman, the hotel’s owner. “At Sheraton, we believe life is better when shared, and this renovation has cultivated an inviting and productive experience in the heart of the Sheraton lobby.”
The design throughout the property incorporates details and textures inspired by the Southwest landscape and the region’s Pueblo heritage. The renovated lobby includes private and communal work areas and offers complimentary wireless broadband.
Guest accommodations now include enhanced bedding, ergonomic workstations, and expanded wellness amenities, such as a 24-hour fitness center and an outdoor pool. Rooms also offer free Wi-Fi and views of the surrounding mountains. Marriott Bonvoy members are eligible for complimentary upgrades to Sheraton Club Lounge-level guest rooms and junior suites.
Dining options include The Left Turn restaurant, which serves American fare with Southwestern influences, and the LT Lounge, which offers various beverages and small plates. Room service is available throughout the day.
The hotel includes 12,000 square feet of meeting space, with the largest room—the 6,000-square-foot Anasazi Ballroom—designed for large gatherings. Event planning support and custom catering packages are available for group bookings.
“The renovation will serve to highlight what is already incredible about the local Albuquerque community—and bring the best of the Sheraton brand to this exciting area,” said Clarissa Sedillo, director of sales. “These changes will strengthen our position as a gathering place for groups, conventions, guests, and locals alike, and will act as a public square for our growing, evolving city.”
To mark the renovation’s completion, the hotel is offering a limited-time celebration package.
