SAN DIEGO—The San Diego Tourism Authority (SDTA) has appointed Krysteena Meredith as its new national sales director, expanding the organization’s hotel sales presence across Southern California.
Based remotely, Meredith will oversee SDTA’s existing accounts in the region while building new relationships throughout Orange County and Los Angeles. Her focus will be attracting more group business to San Diego and strengthening partnerships within these key markets.
Meredith brings more than 17 years of hospitality experience, including leadership and sales roles with Caesars Entertainment in Las Vegas, and in California’s Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa, Bahia Hotel Resort, Hilton Del Mar, and Temecula Creek Inn.
“We couldn’t be more excited to have Krysteena Meredith join the San Diego Tourism Authority Hotel Sales Team,” said Letty Canizalez, vice president of sales at SDTA. “Her reputation, relationships, and enthusiasm for our destination will help us continue building strong partnerships and welcoming even more business to San Diego.”
A familiar face in the industry, Meredith will also serve as president of the SITE SoCal Chapter in 2025. She described her new role as a return to her professional roots. “Selling San Diego as a destination feels like a homecoming, and I could not be any more excited to be coming home,” she said.
Meredith’s appointment comes as SDTA continues to position San Diego as a top destination for meetings, conventions, and leisure travel.
