Regent Hotels & Resorts has returned to the United States with the opening of Regent Santa Monica Beach, located along the beachfront in Santa Monica, Calif. This resort marks the first Regent property in the Americas under the brand’s recent rebranding efforts and the luxury portfolio of IHG Hotels & Resorts.
The property, situated just steps from Santa Monica Pier, aims to offer a combination of luxury and coastal relaxation with a modern edge. With 167 rooms, including spacious suites and standard guest rooms starting at 720 square feet, the resort is designed to provide ample space and comfort. Most rooms offer panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, dedicated dining and work stations, and spa-style bathrooms featuring Perricone MD products. Select suites—including the 3,200-square-foot Santa Monica Presidential Suite and a two-story oceanfront suite—provide additional space and features tailored for a luxury stay.
Regent Santa Monica Beach emphasizes curated guest experiences, led by its Regent experience manager, a point of contact for guests from arrival to departure. In-room refreshment galleries provide beverages and snacks selected according to guests’ preferences, aiming to deliver a personalized touch.
The resort’s family-friendly focus includes partnerships with CYBEX, a child-safety brand. Guests can use CYBEX strollers, cribs, and other baby-friendly equipment. The Seascape Explorers kids’ program provides seasonally rotating activities and age-appropriate entertainment.
Dining options include the Mediterranean-inspired Orla, which uses California-based ingredients and is led by James Beard Award-winning chef Michael Mina, and Sweet July Café by Ayesha Curry. These restaurants offer an assortment of Californian and Jamaican-inspired dishes alongside vibrant menus for breakfast and casual meals.
Amenities at the property also include a 10,000-square-foot Guerlain Wellness Spa, the first of its kind on the West Coast. The spa offers 12 treatment rooms and various lounges for relaxation before and after treatments. Guests can access a fitness center with modern workout machines, cabanas around the Azure Pool overlooking the ocean, and dedicated event spaces, including Jacaranda Ballroom, with more than 6,100 square feet of event space.
Regent Santa Monica Beach guests can earn and redeem points through IHG’s loyalty program, IHG One Rewards. Additional properties outside the United States are expected to follow as part of Regent Hotels’ planned expansion across global luxury destinations.
