PASADENA, Calif.—Oak View Group (OVG) Hospitality has officially begun operating food and beverage services at the Pasadena Convention Center and Pasadena Civic Auditorium, following its selection by the Pasadena Center Operating Company (PCOC). The transition became effective July 1.

OVG Hospitality, the culinary division of venue management firm Oak View Group, is now responsible for all catering, concessions, and food operations across the two venues. New menu offerings and service upgrades are expected to launch soon.

Michael Ross, CEO of PCOC, said the agreement aims to improve service delivery for guests. “We’re excited to bring their creativity, innovation, and commitment to enhancing the guest experience to our Pasadena venues,” he said.

PCOC selected OVG Hospitality through a competitive process, citing the company’s experience with large-scale events, focus on tailored service, and sustainability practices.

“Partnering with PCOC allows us to enhance the Pasadena Convention Center and Civic Auditorium’s impact as vibrant gathering places for the community,” said Ken Gaber, president of OVG Hospitality. “Our focus is on delivering thoughtful, elevated hospitality that complements the unique character of the venues and visitors. We look forward to deepening our hospitality support in the region and bringing new culinary experiences to even more guests.”

Changes underway include new seasonal menus inspired by local cuisine, upgraded concessions, mobile ordering features, and a push for zero-waste operations. Both organizations are working closely to ensure a smooth transition, including staff training and updated service protocols.

Located in Pasadena’s Civic Center District, Pasadena Convention Center and Pasadena Civic Auditorium host hundreds of events annually—from corporate meetings and consumer shows to concerts and community events. The venues draw hundreds of thousands of attendees annually and are considered critical economic drivers for the region.

This contract marks OVG Hospitality’s first foray into managing a California convention center. The company handles hospitality services at venues across North America and is expanding its presence in the West.

PCOC is a nonprofit organization that manages several city-owned facilities, including Pasadena Convention Center, Pasadena Civic Auditorium, Pasadena Ice Skating Center, and Visit Pasadena, the city’s tourism bureau.
