NAPA VALLEY, Calif.—Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, has announced plans to open a new property in Napa Valley, Calif., in 2028. The development will be the brand’s first in the area and its 11th location in California.
The 123-room Kimpton Napa will occupy two four-story buildings on First Street and the Napa River, between Main Street and the Oxbow Public Market. Amenities will include a rooftop bar and restaurant, a central courtyard, a garden patio, an outdoor spa, and contrast therapy studios. Guests will also have access to Kimpton’s standard offerings, such as morning coffee service, evening social hours, and pet-friendly accommodations.
Leanne Harwood, senior vice president and managing director of luxury and lifestyle Americas at IHG Hotels & Resorts, said Napa Valley’s cultural and historical appeal made it “a perfect next location for Kimpton.”
The project is being developed by Newport Beach–based Stratus Development Partners, which will add Kimpton Napa to its portfolio of U.S. properties. Andrew Wood, principal at Stratus Development Partners, added: “Napa Valley embodies the ‘laid-back luxury’ lifestyle synonymous with the Kimpton brand, and the hotel undoubtedly will serve as an iconic, welcoming and vibrant social hub…”
The opening will expand Kimpton’s global footprint, which includes approximately 150 open and pipeline properties.
