INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev.—Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino, nestled in the Sierra Nevada Mountains and on the shore of North Lake Tahoe, has announced a brand-new dining experience, Osteria Sierra. The new restaurant concept features a menu of Italian and Alpine flavor fusions.
“We are pleased to present Osteria Sierra, a brand-new restaurant featuring upscale Italian fare created by our world-class culinary team,” says Pascal Dupuis, general manager of Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe. “The Osteria Sierra experience will feature a welcoming community-style setting. The restaurant is designed to evoke the feeling and ambiance of a traditional Italian Osteria, where locals gather to connect and enjoy delicious food and beverages in an intimate and vibrant atmosphere.”
Osteria Sierra is located in the main resort building, next to Tahoe Provisions. The restaurant, previously named Sierra Café, has been transformed through a renovation to feature new décor and seating. The restaurant features Sicily Majolica art painted throughout. The ceramic majolica pattern originated in Renaissance Italy; known for its intricate designs and colors, the style often is featured in restaurants and businesses throughout the country.
Hotel executive chef Alan Kubler has curated the restaurant’s menu, featuring hand-made pastas made fresh daily. Signature dishes include Italian specialties, such as burrata e pomodori, with pistachio pesto; tagliata di Angus, featuring a New York strip served on an olive tapenade butter saffron risotto cake; and a fresh creste de gallo, with guanciale and black garlic. The menu also includes handcrafted cocktails, an extensive wine and beer list, and a variety of traditional house-made desserts, including white chocolate and strawberry panna cotta, affogato, and tiramisu.
Osteria Sierra is open for dinner Tuesday to Saturday between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. Self-parking is validated with any food or beverage purchase.
In addition to the new Osteria Sierra restaurant, Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe features waterfront dining at its Lone Eagle Grille, al fresco dining on the beach at The Nest Bar & Grill, upscale pub-style food at Cutthroat’s Saloon, and grab-and-go selections, including pastries created by the resort’s executive pastry chef Sahid Khan at Tahoe Provisions.
