SANTA FE, N.M.—Hotel Glorieta, a new 128-room leisure resort overlooking downtown Santa Fe, N.M., recently opened after the redesign of The Lodge at Santa Fe. The new property is owned by Bullwhip Capital and JMI Realty, the team behind El Rey Court.
Hotel Glorieta features public spaces designed to reflect Santa Fe’s landscape and culture, including a music venue, bar and lounge, an outdoor pool, a hot tub, and access to Bureau of Land Management (BLM) land.
“Santa Fe has long inspired us with its depth of culture, history, and creative spirit,” said Jeff Burns, a partner at Bullwhip Capital. “With Hotel Glorieta, we’re honored to grow in a city where every street tells a story and to create a place that invites both travelers and locals to experience that narrative in a thoughtful and lasting way.”
The hotel’s interior redesign, led by French & French Interiors, incorporates warm wood tones and contemporary Southwestern details. The lobby includes a curated retail shop offering branded items, local artisan products, and travel goods.
Guest rooms and suites retain original architectural elements, such as black vigas and rough-hewn beams, alongside updated furnishings and color palettes. Select suites feature balconies, fireplaces, jetted tubs, and Casita-style entrances.
The property introduces Lady Duff’s Lounge, a cocktail bar named for Lady Duff Twysden, the muse behind Brett Ashley in Ernest Hemingway’s The Sun Also Rises. The lounge serves prohibition-inspired cocktails, fine wines, and bar fare, with a full-service restaurant planned.
Other amenities include The Marigold Room for live music, an outdoor Leisure Club with a pool and sauna, a fitness center, and access to hiking trails. Community-focused programs, such as yoga sessions, fireside talks, and stargazing events, are planned for the future.
Hotel Glorieta also offers multiple event venues, including a ballroom, a chapel lawn, and spaces for private gatherings.
