
PARK CITY, Utah—Grand Hyatt Deer Valley has appointed Nate Hardesty as general manager and area vice president. The announcement comes as the resort prepares to anchor Deer Valley’s expanded East Village, offering new accommodations and mountain access in Utah.
Hardesty, a 23-year Hyatt veteran, most recently served as managing director at Thompson Austin and tommie Austin. His previous roles include general manager of Andaz West Hollywood and regional vice president of sales for Hyatt Hotels Corp., overseeing teams across the Americas.
In his new role, Hardesty will lead day-to-day operations and long-term strategy for Grand Hyatt Deer Valley and The Residences at Grand Hyatt Deer Valley. The property marks Grand Hyatt’s first location in Utah and features 436 guest rooms and residences, 30,000 square feet of event space, and direct access to Deer Valley’s developing ski terrain.
Hardesty’s career spans 11 U.S. cities and includes leadership roles at Hyatt Regency Maui (Hawaii), Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe in Incline Village, Nev., and Grand Hyatt Denver. He also played a key role in the 2013 rebranding of the Peabody Orlando to Hyatt Regency Orlando (Fla.).
Grand Hyatt Deer Valley is part of a major development that will eventually offer 3,700 skiable acres, positioning the resort as a key hub in the East Village expansion.
