
Scottsdale, Ariz.—JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Resort & Spa has announced the appointment of Eric Duchene as the resort’s new director of food & beverage (F&B).
Duchene, originally from Toulon, France, began his culinary career with Marriott International in 2008 as chef de partie at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman. He then moved on to Periwinkle Restaurant as sous chef before taking on leadership roles at The Ritz-Carlton, Naples from 2012 to 2016. Duchene later relocated to California, where he served as executive sous chef and executive chef at The Ritz-Carlton, Marina del Rey, for five years. Since 2022, Duchene has been the executive chef at JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Resort & Spa.
In his new role as director of food & beverage, Duchene plans to enhance the resort’s dining offerings and lead specialty culinary events. “Throughout his 18-year journey with Marriott International, Eric has cultivated his passion for crafting exceptional dining experiences, fostering innovation in and out of the kitchen, and building meaningful relationships,” said Leo Percopo, area general manager of JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Resort & Spa. “We are confident in Eric’s expertise to successfully oversee operations across all distinctive restaurants and lounges on the property.”
Outside of the kitchen, Duchene enjoys motorcycling, working out, spending time with his family, and hiking nearby trails.
