Disney Meetings & Events unveils new event products and services

Disney Meetings & Events is launching new products and resources designed to create engaging and impactful moments for meeting professionals and their attendees. The new offerings include new teambuilding experiences and an array of new program openers available at Disney destinations around the world.

In addition, a new creative studio for meeting professionals is set to debut at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida in early 2025. Unique in the industry, it will offer an inspired setting where planners can collaborate with Disney Meetings & Events experts and discover products and services to help deliver on the experience objective.

“These new products and experiences build on a legacy of meeting and event expertise that spans more than half a century,” says Ramiro Vazquez, vice president of Disney Destination Gatherings. “They’re also the latest example of the innovative ways we help organizations deliver on business objectives, elevate critical moments of an event, and deliver experiences that attendees will never forget.”

Combining Disney stories with purposeful, play-based learning, Disney Meetings & Events is unveiling new signature teambuilding and networking sessions designed to increase audience engagement and retention and to deliver a positive return on the meeting experience. Sessions include a competitive teambuilding event based on the stories and adventures of Star Wars, a networking event inspired by Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean, a creative teambuilding activity inspired by Pixar’s Toy Story and Monsters, Inc., and more.

New general-session openers have been added to the deep portfolio of content that meeting professionals can source when meeting at a Disney destination. Each is an imaginative way to kick off a meeting or an event. Developed by Disney event architects who design shows for theme parks, cruise ships, and stages, these openers take the experience to a whole new level and jump-start meetings in a positive way.

Added to the lineup of opening-session options are:

  • Digital Power Entrance: A high-energy, audiovisual, musical kickoff that unifies the audience in a cinematic experience showcasing the group’s own brand.
  • Technically Singing: A clever way to surprise attendees and draw them in with a musical introduction of a host or executive.
  • Unwritten: An inspirational and heartwarming presentation designed to bring guests together and inspire them to dream big.
  • Karaoke Surprise: A fun Disney twist on a karaoke performance.

These and other sessions can be customized and adapted to fit most group sizes and budgets.

Disney Creative Studio

In early 2025, a reimagined Disney Creative Studio will be unveiled at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. The stand-alone facility will be a creative hub where meeting professionals can collaborate with the Disney Meetings & Events team to create truly unique conventions, meetings, and incentives. The studio brings together under one roof everything needed for the ultimate meeting experience—from entertainment and content to décor, floral, audio visual, catering, and more.

“The Disney Creative Studio is a differentiator in the industry,” says Amy Pfeiffer, director of Disney Meetings & Events at Walt Disney World Resort. “It’s an inspirational setting dedicated to helping meeting professionals create the most impactful experiences and events. And it’s rooted in the Disney ethos of creativity, innovation, and fun.”

Disney event architects

From the first request for a proposal to the event’s finale moment, a diversified team of Disney event architects collaborates with meeting professionals to design, build, and execute custom gatherings from the ground up.

“Our talented event architects include sales and services managers, event producers, culinary Experts, and more. It’s a world-class team that works together to turn client vision into reality,” Pfeiffer says. “They are proactive problem solvers who use a proven Disney approach to experiential design, one that builds on best practices honed over decades by Walt Disney Imagineering.”

Adding to the ease of meeting at a Disney destination is single-source billing, another Disney Difference benefit. It allows meeting professionals to charge almost all event costs—production, services, F&B, transportation, and more—to one master account. This unique benefit helps planners manage costs and stay on budget.
