Celebrity chef opens Tiki Taka restaurant at Grand Hyatt Scottsdale Resort

Scottsdale, Ariz.—Chef Richard Blais has launched his latest restaurant, Tiki Taka, at Grand Hyatt Scottsdale Resort, offering a menu combining Japanese and Spanish flavors with local Southwestern ingredients. The restaurant opened at the resort on February 5.

Blais, a James Beard Award-nominated chef, has worked at renowned establishments such as The French Laundry, Daniel, and El Bulli. He also gained fame as the winner of Bravo’s Top Chef All-Stars.

Tiki Taka features small plates with Japanese and Spanish influences and Southwest ingredients. Its menu includes signature dishes, such as Hamachi Pizza, Crispy Soft Shell Crab Escabeche, and Okonomiyaki, among others. Guests can also enjoy a variety of Pintxos, Yakitori, and sushi rolls, as well as Sweet Tapas like Basque Cheesecake and Kakigori. The cocktail menu features such drinks as the Osaka Sour and Kumo Matcha, using Spanish and Japanese ingredients.

Wimberly Interiors designed the restaurant, which draws inspiration from Spanish landmarks and Japanese izakayas. It offers indoor and outdoor seating with expansive views.
