LOS ANGELES—The American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) will bring its 2025 Annual Meeting & Exposition to the Los Angeles Convention Center from August 9–12, marking the event’s first return to the city since 2010.

More than 5,000 association professionals are expected to attend the conference, which is organized by ASAE and hosted in partnership with the Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board, the City of Los Angeles, and the Los Angeles Convention Center.

“We’re proud to welcome ASAE’s Annual Meeting back to Los Angeles,” said Adam Burke, president and CEO of Los Angeles Tourism. “Hosting ASAE not only reaffirms Los Angeles’ status as a national meetings destination but also fuels economic activity across the region and strengthens our city’s reputation as a place to connect, convene, and collaborate.”

Following ASAE’s 2010 Los Angeles event, the city secured more than $190 million in group business as a direct result of attendee leads, according to Los Angeles Tourism. ASAE reports that one in five decision-makers books future meetings in the host city within five years.

“Meetings and events are an essential part of Los Angeles’ economy, supporting local jobs and businesses across every neighborhood in our region,” said Doane Liu, chief tourism officer for the City of Los Angeles. “This event is a timely reminder of why strategic investment in our convention infrastructure is critical to remaining competitive in the national and international meetings market.”

The city is currently reviewing plans to renovate and expand the Los Angeles Convention Center, with a City Council vote expected in September.

Michelle Mason, president and CEO of ASAE, said the organization looks forward to returning to the city. “We deeply value our partnership with the Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board and are confident that this vibrant, forward-thinking city will provide an inspiring backdrop for our attendees to imagine new possibilities for their organizations and the communities they serve,” she said.
