Coachman Hotel, an upscale boutique establishment located at 4100 Pine Boulevard, South Lake Tahoe, Calif., has concluded the latest phase of an extensive property overhaul. This refurbishment includes remodeling its 81 guest rooms, introducing 21 fresh accommodations and deluxe suites, and creating a wellness area and an expanded fitness center.
The renovated rooms consist of a neutral color palette, plywood fittings, and locally sourced photography on the walls. The new wellness room covers 300 square feet, offering guests a quiet space for massages and relaxation, while the now-expanded fitness center is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment.

The revamped guest rooms and suites, envisioned by New York’s Sugar Shed design firm, maintain the hotel’s contemporary mountain lodge aesthetic, using authentic materials and artisanal furnishings. The addition of signature suites caters to various traveler preferences, including business travelers, couples, and families.
Managed by Evolution Hospitality, a division of Aimbridge Hospitality, Coachman Hotel aims to promote a blend of luxury and tranquility for guests. Since its relaunch in 2016, the hotel has garnered attention for its chic ambiance and was also named one of the “Most Instagrammable New Hotels Around the World” by Vogue. The recent acquisition by CL Hotels has led to further development, with a focus on enhancing leisure amenities and attracting corporate gatherings looking for retreats.
