VisitABQ.org/Meetings; @VisitABQLocated in the heart of New Mexico, Albuquerque stands as a vibrant city with diverse cultures, art, cuisine, and recreation.

“Albuquerque offers a unique blend of natural beauty, accessibility, and rich cultural heritage, making it an ideal choice for event planners looking to host conventions and conferences in a truly inspiring setting,” says Brenna Moore, director of communications and public relations for Visit Albuquerque. “The city’s affordability and easy access from major airports and interstates make it a practical choice for organizers and attendees.”

Albuquerque is known as the “Hot Air Ballooning Capital of the World” due to its excellent flying conditions, resident hot-air balloonists, and history hosting the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta.

The city offers an array of interesting accommodations.

ARRIVE Albuquerque, previously the historic Hotel Blue, is set to open in the first quarter of 2025. “ARRIVE Albuquerque by Palisociety infuses the city¡¯s vibrant culture with modern boutique charm,” Eason says. “Known for creating thoughtfully designed spaces and unique programming embracing the local character, ARRIVE will immerse its guests in the design, style, tastes, and culture of Albuquerque on the city¡¯s famous Central Avenue, known as the modern-day Route 66.”

Renovations at Hotel Andaluz are expected to be completed by the end of summer 2025. Listed on The National Register of Historic Places and originally constructed by New Mexico native Conrad Hilton, this hotel is undergoing an approximately $7 million restoration and renovation to bring new life to one of the Southwest¡¯s iconic buildings. The remodel includes an updated lobby, sleeping rooms, corridors, meeting space, a second-level mezzanine, and a gift shop. The restaurant bar and second-floor rooftop bar will be reopened with new concepts during the renovations, and a lobby bar will also be added.

The 270,000-square-foot Albuquerque Convention Center features flexible meeting space for intimate gatherings or large-scale conventions.
