CENTRAL COLORADO

VisitCOS.com; @VisitCOS—Colorado Springs provides a prime destination for meetings and events, with exceptional natural beauty, accessibility, and distinctive local character.
Nestled at the base of Pikes Peak, the city offers a dramatic Rocky Mountain backdrop, both inspiring and unforgettable—perfect for creating memorable event experiences.
“What truly sets Colorado Springs apart is our unique combination of outdoor adventure and Olympic spirit,” says Juliet Jacoby, group sales manager for Visit Colorado Springs. “Home to the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center and the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum, our destination offers a niche that few other cities can match, creating a go-to destination for sports-related events, teambuilding programs, and conferences focused on excellence and performance.”
Jacoby says the appeal for meeting planners lies in a wide range of venues, from world-class resorts like The Broadmoor to rustic mountain lodges and innovative downtown spaces.
The Colorado Springs Airport (COS) is easily accessible, located just 11 miles from downtown. Served by all major U.S. carriers, the airport provides frequent nonstop and one-stop service from many U.S. cities.
New hotel properties include the 375-room Hotel Polaris, with 26,000 square feet of meeting space, and 300-room Chamonix Casino Hotel, with 14,000 square feet of meeting space; both hotels opened in 2024. Cheyenne Mountain Resort, a Destination by Hyatt Hotel, has 316 rooms and 40,000 square feet of event space.
The Mining Exchange Hotel, a Wyndham Grand Hotel & Spa, has 128 sleeping rooms and 17,000 square feet of event space. A renovation of the property’s guest rooms and lobby was completed in 2024.
One of Colorado Springs’ largest hotels is The Broadmoor, with 784 rooms and more than 200,000 square feet of event space.
Other properties include The Antlers, A Wyndham Hotel, with 273 rooms and 27,500 square feet of event space; the 309-room Colorado Springs Marriott, which has 24,000 square feet of meeting space; the 299-room DoubleTree by Hilton Colorado Springs, with 30,420 square feet of event space; 205-room Embassy Suites Colorado Springs, with 7,000 square feet of event space; 102-room Flying Horse Resort, with 11,000 square feet of event space; Garden of the Gods Resort & Club, with 116 rooms and more than 12,000 square feet of event space; 311-room Great Wolf Lodge, with 20,983 square feet of event space; and 200-room Radisson Hotel Colorado Springs Airport, with 3,000 square feet of event space.
Colorado Springs offers plenty of dining options and activities. Some standout sites include Goat Patch Brewing, known for its Hazy IPA and community-focused events; veteran-owned Red Leg Brewing, with a spacious taproom available for groups; and Bison Burgers at Garden of the Gods Trading Post.
Organizers can plan team-building activities and excursions at many local attractions. The Ford Amphitheater, which opened in 2024, will host a full slate of concerts in 2025. Groups can ride up Pikes Peak on The Broadmoor Manitou and Pikes Peak Cog Railway or take a jeep tour through Garden of the Gods Park with Adventures Out West.
Major events include the Space Symposium, held mid-April each year (April 13-16, 2026), and the Pikes Peak APEX, held in early June.
In addition, there is now a convenient downtown shuttle called The Zeb, operated by Mountain Metro.
Visitors also enjoy downtown Colorado Springs, Old Colorado City, and Manitou Springs.
“All of these walkable city centers offer local dining and shopping, allowing the unique and local flavor of Colorado Springs to shine,” Jacoby says. “Each of these areas also offers a plethora of art on the street, historic walking tours, and stunning views of the Front Range.”
Visit Colorado Springs recently launched a new Areas page on its website to showcase all 25 neighborhoods and areas of the Pikes Peak Region.
