Boulder

NORTHERN COLORADO

BoulderColoradoUSA.com; @VisitBoulder—Boulder is a great fit for corporate meetings meant to restore and refresh. “Boulder strikes a balance that few places can match,” says Bailey Burrows, media relations and marketing manager for Visit Boulder. “It’s set right at the base of the Flatirons, offering beautiful views and easy access to the outdoors, but it’s also full of energy and ideas, thanks to its university, tech scene, and arts and culture community.”

Boulder’s walkable downtown is packed with local restaurants, shops, and galleries for groups to explore between meetings. Other areas of town are accessible due to its robust public transportation system, with added routes and a connection between the cities of Boulder and Denver.

“Whether it’s the fresh mountain air, the friendly atmosphere, or the thoughtful details that go into the city’s venues and services, Boulder has a way of making meetings feel a little more inspired,” Burrows says.

Within minutes, attendees can step out of a meeting and be on a hiking trail or enjoying a locally roasted coffee.

“With personalized support from the local meetings team and a community welcoming of fresh ideas, Boulder continues to be a place where productive gatherings happen naturally,” Burrows says.

The city boasts approximately 2,500 hotel rooms, and recent updates have enhanced its appeal as a meeting destination.
The new Limelight Hotel Boulder is expected to become a standout option for groups, Burrows says. Located on University Hill, the property features 252 guest rooms, 26,000 square feet of indoor/outdoor meeting and event space, a rooftop pool, and two onsite restaurants. Also newly opened, Moxy Boulder adds a contemporary option to Boulder’s hotel landscape. With 189 guest rooms and thoughtfully designed social spaces, it is well-suited for group travel.

Longtime favorites like the 160-room Hotel Boulderado continue to impress with a mix of historic character and recent room updates.

For contemporary accommodations, the 165-room Boulder Marriott and 204-room Embassy Suites by Hilton Boulder are popular with meeting planners, thanks to spacious rooms, modern amenities, and convenient locations. Both properties offer flexible meeting space.

Boulder’s dining scene continues to evolve.

“What truly sets Boulder apart is its deep-rooted food culture, where wellness, sustainability, and innovation are part of the experience,” Burrows says. “From farm-to-table institutions to experimental pop-ups, the city’s culinary offerings reflect a sense of place that is both distinctive and unforgettable.”

One of the newest additions is Cozobi Fonda Fina, sister restaurant to the Michelin-starred Alma Fonda Fina. Located downtown, Cozobi serves elevated Mexican fare in a warm, modern ambiance and with a focus on seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. A few blocks away, C Bar and its neighboring C Burger on East Pearl Street take cocktails and burgers to the next level.

Boulder also remains a standout for its craft beer and beverage scene. The city is home to more than 20 breweries, many with onsite taprooms ideal for post-meeting gatherings or casual networking. Avery Brewing, Upslope Brewing Company, and Sanitas Brewing Company are local favorites. For those looking beyond beer, award-winning Boulder Spirits recently opened a new tasting room downtown, offering private whiskey and chocolate pairings in a relaxed, intimate setting.

Each of Boulder’s distinct neighborhoods offers something different. Downtown is the heart of the city, anchored by the walkable Pearl Street Mall. To the west, the historic Chautauqua neighborhood offers a peaceful setting at the foot of the Flatirons. The Colorado Chautauqua, a National Historic Landmark, features 60 charming cottages, lodge rooms, a community house, and an auditorium.

North Boulder, or NoBo, is the city’s creative corridor, while The Hill taps into the University of Colorado Boulder culture. The Twenty Ninth Street District offers access to the larger hotels, while South Boulder is a hub for innovation.

Teambuilding activities are numerous. E-bike companies offer private, guided tours along creek paths, local farms, downtown streets, and historic neighborhoods.

Colorado Wilderness Rides and Guides provides custom outdoor experiences for groups, including guided hikes, rock climbing, flyfishing, and backcountry excursions.

Nature continues to shape the group experience in town as well. Planners can schedule hikes at Chautauqua and Mount Sanitas, or add wellness elements like yoga in the park, forest bathing, and mindfulness walks. Boulder is appealing for groups that value wellness, creativity, and a sense of place. It’s also a natural fit for combining work and leisure, with plenty to offer families who tag along for a meeting or event.
