CENTRAL COLORADO

VisitAurora.com; Visit Aurora; @VisitAuroraCO; @VisitAurora2431—Located just outside the metro Denver area, between the Rocky Mountains and Eastern Plains, Aurora gives attendees the opportunity to explore Colorado’s diversity. The city has a population of nearly 400,000 residents, including a significant immigrant population, representing a rich tapestry of languages and backgrounds, and contributing to its vibrant culture.
Earlier this year, Aurora was named one of the Top 100 Best Places to Live in America by Livability Magazine. “Our location is unmatched,” says David Jacobson, director of marketing and public relations for Visit Aurora. “At the foot of the breathtaking Rocky Mountains, situated within the Denver metro area, and just a short distance from Denver International Airport (DEN)—the third-busiest in the United States—Aurora offers easy access to a major international transportation hub.”
A light-rail line and bus system make getting around convenient. With more than 75 hotels and 13,500 guest rooms, Aurora has accommodations to meet every need. In addition, as Colorado’s third-largest city, Aurora offers more than 1 million square feet of meeting space, including dozens of special-event venues.
Gaylord Rockies Resort and Convention Center, a Marriott Convoy property, offers breathtaking views of the Rocky Mountains, 1,501 guest rooms, more than 517,000 square feet of event space, and eight dining options.
Another large indoor/outdoor venue is The Hangar at The Stanley. The indoor golf facility features various games and other activities, and can accommodate groups of more than 100.
The Stanley Marketplace, a shopping and dining destination, can also accommodate groups; venues include The Stanley Beer Hall, Sky Rink, and the West Patio and Field.
Or take your team on a high-flying adventure at Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum, which has more than 44,000 square feet of meeting space for events ranging from 50 to 3,500 guests.
Aurora has 113 parks, 98 miles of trails, and 8,000 acres of open space to explore, allowing groups to fit in some Colorado adventure without having to venture too far away. In addition, Aurora features more than 400 independent restaurants, craft brewing pubs, and a thriving arts scene.
For a taste of Aurora’s rich history, consider holding an event at the Aurora History Museum, where attendees can explore exhibits showcasing the city’s past and present.
“Beyond logistics, Aurora’s diversity is one of its greatest strengths. Event planners can curate a wide variety of experiences for their attendees, from vibrant food scenes, craft breweries, and outdoor recreation to cultural events and beautiful scenic views,” Jacobson says. “Aurora’s balance of urban amenities and natural beauty provides the perfect backdrop for events of any scale.”
