
Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado Santa Fe (N.M.) has appointed Melissa Sims as its new general manager.
Sims brings a wealth of hospitality management experience to her new position, having started her career with Four Seasons in 2005, at the New York location. Her roles there included assistant restaurant manager, learning manager, and director of human resources. In addition to the New York location, Sims worked at Four Seasons properties in Chicago and California, including hotels in Aviara and Los Angeles. While serving as hotel manager at Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles, Sims oversaw a multimillion-dollar renovation project, elevating the hotel’s status as a premier destination in Beverly Hills. Under her leadership, the property achieved its highest guest satisfaction scores in more than a decade.
In addition to earning a Bachelor of Science degree from Nicholls State University, in Thibodaux, La., and a master’s degree in hospitality and tourism management from the University of New Orleans, Sims also earned certifications from the Society of Human Resources Management.
