Eureka Casino Resort in Mesquite, Nev., is undergoing a $100 million renovation and expansion, focusing on upgrading the 212-room hotel, 40,285-square-foot casino, and several other enhancements. The first phase, at approximately $40 million, began with the expansion and remodel of Gregory’s Mesquite Grill, the resort’s flagship steakhouse, along with the renovation of its ballroom, which can host up to 150 guests.
Next on the agenda is a remodel of the hotel, along with expanding and renovating the casino floor and restaurant areas. Additionally, the company plans to develop the surrounding acreage, laying the groundwork for an integrated retail and residential project, with resort condominiums and apartments on 35 acres. The project’s completion is anticipated by 2026-2027, with further details to emerge as construction progresses.
A fully employee-owned business in operation for 25 years in Mesquite, Eureka’s redevelopment is driven by its aim to reinvest in the company and improve experiences for its staff. Its stated goal is to create more jobs in construction, service, and support industries, thereby boosting the local economy. “Our guests deserve our very best, and continual improvement is one of our core values,” says Eureka CEO Andre Carrier. “The best way we can show our guests respect, while providing for the long-term financial security of our employee-owners, is to invest in our resort and the destination of Mesquite.”
