The city offers approximately 1,300 guest rooms, with many more nearby and many within walking distance of the Ogden Eccles Conference Center. Situated in the heart of downtown Ogden, the Ogden Eccles Conference Center is one of the largest meeting spaces in the city, offering more than 70,000 square feet of space. Planner can take advantage of a range of event services at the conference center, including in-house F&B services, offsite catering, event management, and even a business center. The facility recently underwent a renovation that upgraded its technology and modernized meeting spaces, Hartman shares.
Other standout meeting venues in Ogden include the Marriott Ogden Hotel, with 292 guest rooms and 17,000 square feet of extensive meeting facilities; Hilton Garden Inn Ogden Downtown, with 120 guest rooms and 2,000 square feet of flexible event space; and Hyatt Place Ogden, which includes 150 guest rooms and 5,000 square feet of modern meeting space.
Meeting planners or groups hoping to take advantage of Ogden’s mountain setting will appreciate Snowbasin Resort, one of the largest ski resorts in the country, with 3,000 acres of terrain. Snowbasin boasts a number of venue options for groups of all types and sizes—from the expansive Earl’s Lodge to the intimate Huntington Room and Needles Lodge, a large two-story space with 360-degree views. The resort’s 18-hole mini-golf course and skiing and snowboarding options provide great teambuilding opportunities as well.
Ogden’s food scene adds a delicious layer to the event experience, Hartman shares. Roosters Brewing Co., a longtime local favorite, recently expanded its taproom to feature exclusive seasonal brews. Nearby, Table Twenty Five focuses on fresh, locally sourced ingredients, delivering a true taste of Utah. For something more casual yet inventive, Slackwater Pizzeria is a can’t-miss for craft pies and a vibrant patio atmosphere.
Between sessions or after a full conference day, attendees can wind down (or gear up) with plenty of local attractions, from paddleboarding and kayaking adventures at Pineview and Causey reservoirs or strolling The Junction—Ogden’s premier entertainment district—or Historic 25th Street, which boasts a colorful arts scene, independent boutiques, local eateries, and vibrant nightlife.
